My Landrover saved 25.6%
We should never sell anything that we haven't tested ourselves!
I started testing the BE-Fuelsaver from New Generation Bio on my Landrover Defender 110 Station Wagon on the 1st of August.
My beloved albeit thirsty expedition vehicle: Landrover Defender 110 Station Wagon Tdi5
The factory spec on this vehicle is 12.7l / 100 km in urban cycle, but honestly I have always used more.
There are several reasons for that. We live in Johannesburg at an altitude of about 1500 m. In Europe that would be far up in the Alps just under the snow capped summits of the Matterhorn. The air is thin and all vehicles lose about 10% of their sea level power at this altitude. Also consumption is markedly higher.
My vehicle is permanently carrying a roof rack and tent, bull bar, extra running bars, water tank, long range fuel tank, in total about 200kg extra weight. So my true consumption has always come out between 14 and 16l per 100km.
For the purpose of this test I shall assume an average consumption of 15l/100 km without the BE Fuelsaver.
My total tank capacity is 115 l, the 75l factory fitted standard tank and an additional 50l long range tank.
With all that diesel on board normally my red light started flashing at latest at 750km, often, when driving under more extreme conditions or towing a medium sized boat already at 650.
So, I was eager to find out if I could stretch that to 1000km with the BE Fuelsaver from NG Bio.
The type used on this vehicle was the type M.
Installation is easy
Essentially I affixed a stiff 1mm copper wire to the small metal cylinder with 2 cable ties (delivered as part of the product) and felt my way to the bottom of the tank. One could even just let it plop into the tank without any additional help, but it should be definitely at the bottom, so that even the last bit of fuel still has contact with the Fuelsaver. Also the wire allows to take it out if you sell your vehicle and want to keep your fuelsaver for the next one. The wire also prevents the fuel saver from rolling around.
That's how easy it is!
Alternatively the 2 cable ties can also be used to fix the fuel saver directly onto the fuel line immediately before it enters the engine. I think the fuel tank position is more effective.
Orgone, Bioenergy, Space Energy, Ether, Prana, it's all the same!
Having worked with orgone devices for the last 10 years, I have developed a bit of a sensitivity for subtle energies and this one felt very strong, the moment I took it out of the little plastic box.
Really, really strong! I don't know what Mr. Renner does with them, but whatever his process is, it's extremely powerful!
Now to the test:
From the beginning, I noticed a marked difference in the driving characteristics of my Landy. It was as if the vehicle had come alive suddenly.
I am not a motor journalist, (these guys have their own poetic lingo) so words fail me to describe the miraculous rejuvenation the vehicle was undergoing.
Low down torque: I have one specific offramp that I take often with a steep uphill bend. Normally I would have switched back into 3rd gear, now I'm cruising effortlessly in 5th at speeds as low as 45-50 and accelerate out of it to full speed when back on the straight. That feels like driving autmatic in 5th!
Generally acceleration feels a lot more lively ad the engine more responsive. I mean, we are talking about a Landy here, not a Lamborghini!
I did not have any longer tours to make so all the driving on this first tank filling was done around town, with lots of short haul, stop - and - go and a few stretches of highway. I did not drive particularly conservative, rather enjoying the new feel and pushing it a bit.
And yes, I did reach the 1000 mark!
The Moment of truth: Landy at the pump!
The truth at the pump: 111.625 l
Wow! 1000.5 km on one tank! I've never done that before!
Now let's do the math:
111.625l : 1,000.5km = 0.11156922 or 11.16 l / 100km
Compared to my average of about 15 that's a saving of 25.6%.
If I drive 30,000 km per year, that will save approximately 1,152.00 l of fuel.
At a present pump price of 11.80 R/l that would be R 13,593.60 or approx. U$D 1,624.78or EUR 1,288.00.
Compare that to the price of the little gadget of approximately 200 Euro and you have it back in 2 months!
In Europe Fuel is even more expensive, so the saving will be more. And fuel prices are expected to go up rather than down over the next few years.
And the BE-Fuelsaver does not lose it's power or charge. It will continue saving foryear after year, after year!
The manufacturer warrants 30 years of full functionality and offers an additional money back guarantee for 60 days if you can prove that no improvement in fuel consumption has taken place after correct installation!
