The Orgonite Community: Where Gifting Came From and What It Is Now

Typical tactical orgonite as we would use it oon an orgonite gifting expedition.

The Orgonite Community and the Gifting Movement

What exactly is the orgonite community? If you are new to this, you likely arrived here looking for a simple solution.

Perhaps you have been having insomnia for months and just want uninterrupted nights. Perhaps you want to fix a house full of fatigue, irritation and negativity, or you are simply looking for peace of mind in our modern, electrified world.

Then you run a search, and suddenly you are staring at a chaotic internet subculture. You find endless forums, conflicting recipes, bizarre acronyms, and fierce arguments about resin types. Let us clear the air.

I have been building orgonite and observing this movement for 24 years. The history of how we got here is actually quite simple, provided you know who did what.

From Reich to Welz to Croft

We must start with Dr. Wilhelm Reich. According to Reich, who coined the expression, Orgone Energy is the primary creative life energy powering the whole universe.

He observed this energy in two basic states. POR, or Positive Orgone Energy, is the free-flowing, life-enhancing state. DOR, or Deadly Orgone Energy, is the stagnant, blocked state associated with decay.

Reich built Orgone Accumulators to concentrate this ambient energy. He also built the Cloudbuster, a bundle of pipes grounded into water, designed to draw stagnant DOR from the atmosphere. He did not, however, invent orgonite.

That credit belongs to Karl Hans Welz. In the 1990s, Welz discovered something fascinating.

He found that suspending metal particles in a catalysed resin matrix created a composite material that did more than just accumulate ambient energy. It actively converted stagnant DOR into flowing POR. He named this passive technological material orgonite.

Welz’s original orgonite was highly effective, but it contained no crystals. It was also kept somewhat proprietary.

Enter Don Croft. Don took Welz’s basic resin-and-metal matrix and added a crucial element: quartz crystals. In my experience, the crystal acts as a director and amplifier for the energy dynamics happening within the matrix.

Don also open-sourced the concept. He encouraged anyone and everyone to make it in their backyards. With his wife Carol, he pioneered what we now call the gifting movement.

Don also invented the Chembuster. This is frequently confused with Reich’s Cloudbuster, but they are entirely different devices. Reich’s device used water to draw and move atmospheric DOR, while Croft’s Chembuster uses a heavy orgonite base to project a massive POR field upwards.

We worked directly with Don Croft in those early days. It is a direct lineage we have proudly maintained ever since.

What is Gifting?

Gifting is the simple practice of placing orgonite devices in the environment to restore energetic balance.

Our modern environment is heavily polluted with electromagnetic fog. This dense web of frequencies creates a serious DOR problem, leading to atmospheres full of tension and stagnation.

Gifters take it upon themselves to change this. We drop small orgonite devices near communication masts, in polluted waterways, or buried in stagnant urban areas.

It is a quiet, decentralised mission. There is no membership card and no central leadership. It is just thousands of independent co-experimenters taking responsibility for the energy of their own neighbourhoods.

The Gifting Toolkit

If you look into gifting, you will immediately hit a wall of acronyms. The community has developed a standard toolkit over the last two decades.

The TB (Tower Buster): This is a simple, utilitarian puck of orgonite, usually weighing around 100 grams. It is the workhorse of the gifting movement, designed to be tossed into bushes or buried near sources of dense electromagnetic fog.

The HHG (Holy Handgrenade): A larger, usually cone-shaped or pyramid device containing five specific crystals. We use these for homes, workspaces, or larger environmental targets where a stronger, more structured POR field is needed.

The Earth Pipe: A hollow copper pipe with an orgonite plug at one end, driven deep into the ground. These are used to address stagnant energy grids and underground disturbances.

Fads, Fakes, and Controversies

Any community that exists online will argue with itself. Over our 24 years of continuous operation, we have seen countless fads come and go.

People have tried replacing resin with plaster, calling it “plasterite”. It does not work the same way, in my opinion, because plaster lacks the organic carbon-chain density of cured resin.

Then there is the endless debate over how orgonite actually works. You will see sellers desperately trying to sound scientific to win over skeptics.

They will claim it is the piezoelectric effect of the shrinking resin squeezing the quartz crystal. You will hear elaborate theories about scalar waves, quantum physics, and negative ion conversion.

I do not buy into any of that. Orgonite operates entirely on the etheric level described by Reich. It is an energetic converter, not a mechanical filter.

We do not need to invent pseudo-scientific mechanisms to justify what we observe. The results of a cleaner, more vibrant atmosphere speak for themselves.

How to Spot Real Orgonite

This brings us to the biggest problem for newcomers: the absolute avalanche of fake orgonite on the market today.

Authentic orgonite requires a roughly 50/50 ratio of metal shavings to resin by volume. The metal must be dense, chunky, and abundant. The interaction between the organic resin matrix and the inorganic metal shavings is what creates the DOR-to-POR conversion.

Today, the market is flooded with clear resin pyramids containing a few flakes of gold leaf and a pretty gemstone. These are beautiful paperweights.

They do not have the mass or the metal density to function as passive orgone generators. If you want to transform a heavy, stagnant house into a calm home, you need the dense, heavy, metal-rich devices that the original gifting movement was built on.

Joining the Mission

Many people start simply. They want to feel protected in their own homes. They place an HHG on the coffee table and a few TBs in the garden, and they notice the household tension drops.

Then, there are the serious practitioners. These are the people who look at the sheer density of modern infrastructure and decide to push back. They are the ones out there busting grids and gifting their local landscapes.

Whether you are looking to harmonise your own living space or join the worldwide network of environmental gifters, the principles remain the same.

Stick to the original 50/50 formula. Trust your own observations, and do not get bogged down in internet drama or decorative fads.

We have been making authentic orgonite exactly this way since 2002. If you want to experience the real deal without mixing the resin and sourcing the metal shavings yourself, you can find our full range at https://www.orgoniseafrica.com/shop/.

The mission continues, of course. There is always more gifting to be done.
